Job Type: Full-time/part-time; may include scheduled evening and weekend rotations Compensation: $15/hr; $31,200 annual salary for full time Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO): 2 weeks; Paid Sick Leave: 1 week; Other benefits per company policy Reports to: Medical Director Job Purpose: This position exists to support LifeSpring providers in delivering exceptional healthcare. This is accomplished by providing administrative support throughout and following the patient’s visit.
Fluent in both written and spoken English; fluency in Spanish preferred
Strong spelling, grammar, and computer skills
Compassionate, self-disciplined, and self-motivated
2 years undergraduate college experience minimum, degree preferred; pre-health major preferred. Gap year ideal
Prior experience in medical scribing preferred
Complete Medical Scribe training online course and subsequent in-office training
Accurately document the provider/patient encounter within 24-48 hours of the patient encounter
Submit EMR documentation to the provider for review and revise as directed by the provider
Enter data from paper billing sheet into EMR within 24-48 hours of encounter
Complete HIPAA training in office and maintain confidentiality for patient encounters at all times
Maintain professional demeanor during and after clinical encounters
Train and serve as chaperone for provider during patient visit
Other duties as assigned by director
