HRSA COVID-19 Uninsured Program (UIP) stops accepting claims for COVID testing

Due to a lack of sufficient funds, the HRSA COVID-19 Uninsured Program will end on March 23, 2022. As of thisdate, the HRSA COVID-19 Uninsured Program will stop accepting new claims for testing for COVID-19 relatedtests. As a result of this change, effective Date of Service/Date of Collection March 21, 2022, patients whoindicate ‘uninsured’ at the time of specimen collection for COVID-19 related tests will receive an invoice forpayment of services at the no insurance/self-pay rate for the ordered tests.PathGroup clients can contact PathGroup Client Services at 1-888-4PG-LABS  (1-888-474-5227)to inquire about the fees for COVID-19 related tests, and patients can contact PathGroupPatient Support Services at 1-877-456-6706 to inquire about no insurance/self-pay rates for COVID-19 relatedtests.For more information from Health Resources & Services Administration https://www.hrsa.gov/coviduninsuredclaim/submission-deadline
