Internships
Program Overview
● Summer internship opportunities for college students and recent graduates
● Hands-on experience in pediatric healthcare, community advocacy, and nonprofit work
● 8-10 week commitment during summer months
● Minimum 20 hours per week
Internship Tracks
● Clinical Services: Assist in pediatric clinic or developmental-behavioral department; scribing and medical assistant support
● Advocacy & Outreach: Participate in health education, screenings, care coordination, and community events
● Development & Communications: Contribute to fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, social media, and patient impact evaluation
● Administrative Support: Work on special projects including data entry, quality improvement, and workflow optimization
Eligibility Requirements
● At least 18 years old by the internship start date
● Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college, university, or graduate program
● Pass a background check and drug screening
● Up-to-date immunization documentation required
● Spanish fluency preferred but not required
● Selected candidates may be invited for an interview
Application Process
● Deadline: March 1, 2026
● Required materials: Completed application, resume/CV, cover letter, and two letters of recommendation (one academic/professional, one spiritual)
● Applicants notified within one month of the deadline

Training & Supervision
● Mandatory orientation session with HIPAA and OSHA training
● Assigned a direct supervisor with periodic check-ins
● Final evaluation provided at the end of the internship
● Letter of recommendation is available based on performance
Compensation
● Unpaid internships (unless otherwise specified)
● Fundraising support available with 10% administrative fee
● Academic credit or service-learning hours may be arranged
